We have a distinctive ability to identify with the Owner to achieve his objectives. This is caused by a caring concern of the executives of Jones & Jones who have been developers, landlords, contractors and design/builders. Our strong client service orientation is immutable.

We believe our distinctive client orientation is something that differentiates us from our competitors. It translates into an aggressive performance orientation. While it cannot be contractually defined or quantified it is immeasurably helpful in creating successful capital improvements, on time and within budget.

    Jones & Jones has an 87 year heritage. Our familiarity with all aspects of the institutional capital improvements industry ranging from the political to the technical runs deep. This is a resource from which clients benefit tremendously.

    The owners and principals of Jones & Jones attend numerous planning meetings. During construction they visit jobsites frequently, and are easily accessible for meetings with clients. They are in constant contact with project management personnel and become personally involved in all projects.

    The owners and principals of Jones & Jones personally know most responsive contractor and subcontractor executives. If they do not know them, they meet them. Contractors and subcontractors know what performance levels are expected of them. Jones & Jones drafts construction contracts that require performance of the contractors and subcontractors.

    The principals of Jones & Jones know what is important to institutions and property owners because the Joneses have been developers and landlords of such projects as clinical staff office buildings on university property.

    Due to feedback we receive from architects and consultants, we know we are strong at preconstruction planning. We are able to provide an extra level of systems analysis, e.g., structural, facade, mechanical, electrical, to help the client and architect make correct decisions.
  • Expert at Constructability Reviews

    Due to our background as builders we are able to provide detailed constructability reviews to the point of redlining design documents if necessary.
  • Accuracy of Conceptual/Schematic Construction Budgets

    We have a realistic approach toward budgeting that encompasses design intent such that our early budgets are quite accurate vis-à-vis the final project cost. We can foresee details of design before they are drawn enabling us to predict costs accurately.
  • Experience as Self-Performers

    Our experience in self-performing trades such as concrete work on previous construction projects gives us an advantage as professional construction managers. The level of construction knowledge and the requisite coordination and control gives us perfect insight into contractors' thinking. Our experience allows us to predict contractor issues and to prevent construction problems before they occur.
  • Hands-On Experience with Construction Safety

    We understand how to keep jobsites safe. This translates into productivity and faster job schedules for the client. It also means crisis management and the attention of the press can be avoided.
